Keith Davis, MD was born and raised in rural Eastern New Mexico, and completed high school in Albuquerque. Following high school in 2001 he took over the management and operation of his family farm, and continued that through 2008 when he decided to pursue medicine after working for a local volunteer fire department. He completed an undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of New Mexico in 2008, followed by matriculation into medical school at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in June of 2013. He completed residency at University of New Mexico Hospital.

Ongoing: Quality Improvement Project: Evaluating and improving methods of signout for overnight crosscover.
Ongoing: Quality Improvement Project: Improving handoff transitions from ED to IM- in conjunction with ED quality chief residents
Ongoing: Quality Improvement Project: Appropriate utilization of telemetry- assessing and modifying inappropriate telemetry use at a university system.
Ongoing: Quality Improvement Project: Evaluating length of stay and discharge delay related to faculty and resident transition days with potential development of discharge checklists for most common admission diagnoses.
Ongoing: Evaluate current practices regarding osteomyelitis management and compare that with IDSA guidelines. Develop best practice to bring the two more in-line.

2009: Complications Associated With IVC Filter Retrieval. 2008-Present. Retrospective chart review study to determine institute specific incidence of filter complications and simultaneously compare this incidence to other studies nationwide.
2008: Re-assessing proximal humerus anatomy: Implications for shoulder arthroplasty component design. Review of OMI CT data collected on >1000 subjects intended to validate or refute the claim that male and female proximal humerus anatomy is equivalent.
