- Vera is originally from Mettmann, Germany and was a practicing Physical Therapist before matriculating to the prestigious University of Duisburg-Essen Medical school. While in Germany, she managed a busy Internal Medicine practice for two years before relocating to the Raleigh NC. She is an avid equestrian and has a passion for travel, wildlife photography, camping and being a new parent with her husband Ali.
