Virginia Mohl, MD Chief Designated Institutional Official


Virginia Mohl, MD, PhD is Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and Medical Director here at Billings Clinic. Dr. Mohl primarily focuses her time on Medical Education including Graduate Medical Education, Undergraduate Medical Education and Continuing Medical Education. Dr. Mohl serves on numerous leadership committees within Billings Clinic and is one of Billings Clinic’s members on the Board of Directors for Montana Family Medicine Residency.

Dr. Mohl completed her undergraduate degree in Microbiology at Montana State University. Dr. Mohl later went on to receive her PH.D at Washington State University and then her M.D. at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Mohl acquired her Family Practice Residency in Casper, Wyoming before joining Billings Clinic in 1997. A native of Butte, Montana, Dr. Mohl returned to her home state to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Dr. Mohl enjoys hiking, learning to fly fish, kayaking and camping outside of work.
